Dana-Maria Faneker is an XR entrepreneur, VR coach and pioneer in immersive learning from the Netherlands. Since founding CaptainVR in 2017, she has been exploring how virtual reality and immersive technologies can create meaningful experiences that support learning, personal development and behavioural change.

With a background in VR coaching, experiential learning and digital innovation, Dana-Maria bridges the gap between technology and human experience. She develops concepts and learning experiences that help professionals understand the potential of XR and translate innovative ideas into practical applications.

As the founder of CaptainVR and an initiator of Hybrid Action Space, she has worked on applying immersive technology in coaching, youth work and social impact. Her work focuses on making XR accessible, meaningful and useful for professionals, educators, coaches and organisations.

Dana-Maria believes that immersive technology is most powerful when it serves a clear human purpose. Through Immersive Experts, she contributes to sharing knowledge, connecting professionals and advancing the practical application of immersive experiences.
